How to reorder PDF pages online

1

Upload your PDF

Drag and drop your PDF into the upload area, or click to browse. The tool renders a thumbnail for each page.

2

Drag pages to reorder

Drag any thumbnail to a new position. The original page number is shown below each thumbnail so you can track changes.

3

Save and download

Click Save to generate the reordered PDF, then download it. The original page quality is fully preserved.

Why reorder PDF pages?

PDFs from scanners, exports, or merged documents often have pages in the wrong order. Instead of re-scanning or re-exporting, you can simply drag pages into the correct sequence and save a clean, properly ordered document.

This is especially useful for presentations, portfolios, contracts, and scanned documents where page order matters for readability and professionalism.

How does client-side reordering work?

Unlike most online PDF tools that upload your files to a remote server, AwesomeToolkit uses PDF.js for rendering thumbnails and pdf-lib for reordering — both run entirely in your browser. Your PDF is read into local memory, processed on your device, and the result is generated without any network request.

This means zero upload time, zero server dependency, and complete privacy. Your file never leaves your computer — not even for a millisecond.

Tips for reordering PDFs

  • Use the original page number badge below each thumbnail to keep track of which page is which.
  • The position indicator (top-right badge) shows the new position of moved pages, making it easy to verify your changes.
  • Click 'Reset order' at any time to restore the original page sequence before saving.
  • For large PDFs, thumbnails may take a few seconds to render. The reordering itself is nearly instant.
  • After reordering, use our Compress PDF tool to reduce file size, or Merge PDF to combine with other documents.

Common use cases

  • Move a cover page or table of contents to the front.
  • Fix scanned documents with pages in the wrong order.
  • Rearrange presentation slides for a different audience.
  • Move appendices or references to the end.
  • Reorganize a photo album or portfolio.

Privacy and security

Your PDF is processed 100% locally in your browser — it is never uploaded to any server, not even temporarily. Thumbnails are rendered with PDF.js and reordering uses pdf-lib, both running entirely on your device. Your file never leaves your computer.

Unlike most online PDF tools that require server uploads, AwesomeToolkit processes everything client-side. Once you close or refresh the page, all data is cleared from memory. No file is stored, logged, tracked, or accessible to anyone — ever.

Is the reordering done on a server?

No — everything happens in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded. We use PDF.js for thumbnails and pdf-lib for the reordering.

Will the quality be affected?

No. Reordering is a lossless operation — all content, fonts, images, and formatting are preserved exactly as in the original.

What is the maximum file size?

You can upload a PDF up to 100 MB. Larger files may take a moment to render all thumbnails.

Does it work on mobile?

What format is the output?

The output is a standard PDF file named reordered.pdf containing all your pages in the new order. You can rename it after downloading.
