QR codes repeat part of their data as error correction. When you add a logo, the generator switches to the highest level (H, 30%) and caps the logo at 30% of the code's width, so the hidden modules can be rebuilt by the phone. You can also clear the modules behind the logo and put it on a plate.
Choose the colour of the modules and the background, square, rounded or dotted modules, the shape of the three eyes, and a frame with a short call to action such as "Scan the menu". The generator warns you when the contrast is too low for phones to read it.
